Mike Martinsen on deck, opening his beautiful Montauk Shellfish Company oysters and clams, Thomas Muse and Kevin Giordano of Thomas Bradley Muse and Kevin G providing a perfect soundscape. Beer, lobster rolls, and sushi from Montauk Brewing Co. NATURALLY GOOD FOODS + CAFE and Seaside Sushi 🌊🍣, all while the mighty Mon Tiki Largo scooned before a fair breeze at sunset!

You’d be tempted to say it was like something out of a movie. A bunch of small businesses from a little seaside town, coming together to raise money of the Fourth of July fireworks show that is the centerpiece of Montauk’s summer tourism season — like some staring Jimmy Cagney and James Stewart, and directed by Frank Capra.

But this isn’t a movie. This is real life. This is Montauk!

When I made movies I made the movies I wanted to see that no one else was making. When I made my boats I made the boats I wanted to spend time on. In both cases I was lucky that enough other people wanted the same thing that I was able to support my family doing it.

We recently celebrated my partner’s birthday with a private sunset cruise, and fully enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. Captain Dave greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, and Captain Gerry then took over as our guide. He expertly navigated the catamaran while sharing fascinating stories; we felt as if we could happily sail for many more hours. Captain Gerry timed the cruise so that we were able to experience an extraordinary sunset, and the whole trip felt simply magical. Thank you for a beautiful evening.“ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
