We are proud to present Consuelo Rivas a.k.a. Ms. Connie as our Kyokushin MVP for Yukan Na Samurai 2026, Laughlin, Nevada. She was our first karateka to compete in board breaking in an open tournament, and she did an excellent job in not only breaking, but kata and kumite. Back at the dojo, she is an outstanding volunteer/assistant who specializes in supporting students with special needs. We are proud to have her on the team. Osu!

Kid Fit 2026: 5K, Volunteer Event, Dojo Performance. This year we had another amazing experience at Legg Lake. Our Kyokushin Kai students and families dedicated much time and energy to volunteering, performing and participating. The school is very grateful to you all and a special thank you to Mr. Otto of El Pulgarcito Honey for being our point man and Michelle Silence, the founder and organizer of Kid Fit 5K. Ossss!

A very happy birthday weekend to dojo dad Ed Velasco. His sons started Kyokushin over a decade ago and he always pushed them to practice at home and push to be their best. For over a decade, he has supported the school, helped with events and traveled as far as other states for tournaments. Thank you Ed and here’s to many more! Ossss!
