Hello to all, my name is Wyatt Meyring, former Central Washington University Track and Field coach. I coached the throws events (Hammer, discus, shot put) for 4 years there.
My wife and I just moved to the SoCal area, and are offering coaching expertise to parents and student-athletes around the LA county area specifically in the track and field throws events.
One thing we all know is that it is very hard for a high school athlete to get a scholarship in sports. Football, basketball, baseball, soccer, it’s very competitive and the talent pool is very large and only getting larger.
The throwing events are less populated than the major sports. The high school hammer throw for example is only sanctioned in 2 states in America. That makes college coaches keen to searching for kids with rare throwing experience.
I have coached conference record holders, national qualifiers, and conference champions. Now I want to make a difference and help kids earn athletic scholarships for their future education. A rare opportunity.
