The Woodbury Police Department is issuing an important alert to all residents regarding recent criminal activity in our neighboring community. The New Windsor Police Department has investigated several residential burglaries believed to be committed by international organized theft groups. We urge all Woodbury residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect their homes and property. These organized theft groups typically target homes in residential areas when residents are away from their home. To help prevent becoming a victim of these crimes, please follow these important safety measures:
1. Always lock your car at night
2. Remember your 9pm routine (checking that doors and windows are secured)
3. Ensure your home is locked when you leave
4. Be aware of any suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood
5. Report any unusual activity immediately
