We had another sash promotion! Everyone join me in congratulating Isaiah on his first sash! He is my first youth red sash! He has worked very hard and is very determined! Glad to see him sticking with it! Congratulations and good job Isaiah!

This morning we had the honor and privilege to promote Dillon to his first sash (red sash) in the art of Lai Tung Pai Kung Fu. Dillon has worked very hard to get where he is and I’d like everyone to help join me in congratulating him on his progress and achievements up to this point. The journey has just begun and may it continue. Also a big thank you to my brother sifu Eoin and my sifu, Sifu Chris for coming down and sitting on the Dais for the testing. Thank you everyone that has helped along the way!!!

Had an amazing surprise guest tonight in class!!! Sifu Delmar Minor and some of his students who are also very close friends of mine came up to share some wisdom of throws and takedowns with me and my student Dillon. This was such a pleasant surprise and it was such a pleasure to have him and his students. Thank you so much to everyone that came to class tonight. Also had a great bite to eat after class at Gus's Family Restaurant.

The Kwan Dao (or Guan Dao) is a legendary Chinese polearm featuring a heavy, curved blade attached to a long wooden or metal shaft. Named after the famous Three Kingdoms-era general Guan Yu, it is traditionally used in Kung Fu for sweeping, thrusting, and disarming maneuvers.
