I’m way, way, way behind on updates but here goes. We had a tough day on Claiborne back in February, but DJ, Hunter, Noah, & Chris had a decent day! They took 1st through 4th respectively, with Hunter claiming big bass slightly over Kevin Jennings.

Cold, rainy, & tough day on Caney yesterday! Our top 4 winners might argue about the tough though as they all had solid sacks! Congratulations to Glenn Miers, Kevin Jennings, Chris McHenry, and Jeff Dement for showing us that they were catchable yesterday. We had one bass over 9, two more over 7, two more over 6, and 2 more over 5 lbs caught after a major weather change! We are looking for a few more members to fish with us this year. We are fishing Claiborne next month, and then Darbonne, Chicot, Batholomew, & the Ouachita River out of Forsythe Park at some point during the following months. Please comment your name if you are interested in fishing some tournaments in a low stress but as much fun as possible format. We will contact you and discuss it with you if you’re interested.

Yeah it's hunting season but it's also time to make your plans for spring and summer bass fishing. We're an old club fishng for fun and a little money when we're lucky, but we really want to grow our club with competitive amateurs that want to engage in friendly competition with a chance to win a few dollars over the course of six tournaments. We have about 20 members and would like to add 10 more. Entry fee for the season is paid upfront, and will likely run between $250 and $300. No other fees will be required. We do 100% payouts for total weights on the best five legal bass and also big bass, so the greater the members, the greater the payouts. All paid members will have an opportunity to present their picks for six local fisheries (all in Northeast LA or Southest AR). Come have fun, win some money and hone your skills. If you're interested leave your email in the comments. FISH ON!

We wrapped up our season yesterday on a hard and hot day of fishing on the Ouachita River. James Goldman proved that the old saying about the blind hog finding an acorn is actually true as he finally finished above last place and pulled out a win. As one of the photos proves he might have had some help! Invest in a Livescope Moon! Glenn Miers showed he still has it also as another photo shows. Although Moon still cannot win a tournament he did win the AOY. That pays the same as first place out of the money that we have named after him, but congrats anyway Moon. That highly coveted award was won by Danny Williams yesterday and you can see the joy in his face from another one of the photos. Moon had three 2nds, a 3rd, and a 4th place finish in his best 5 tournaments. Kevin Jennings dominated on the winnings side though as he won half our tournaments and has some of us investing in a Livescope now. Congrats Kevin! Kevin Cromwell, DJ Hicks, Kevin Jennings, Kade Hilestead, and Chandler Conrad completed our top 6. Congrats guys! We will be looking to add some new members next year so try to invite someone to join in the fun! We will try to do a better job of taking photos and posting the results for every tournament next year.

Great week fishing down here in Costa Rica for some of us! Moon is back in his normal finishing position though!

Just to be clear, I once was capable of catching quality bass. I hope I figure out how to do it again one day.

Kevin Cromwell showed us how it’s done today on Bartholomew claiming 1st and big bass with a nice kicker that was bumping 6 lbs. Moon Griffon was close on his heals though claiming 2nd place and he had a nice kicker also that went over 5.5 lbs. Noah Sistrunk kept them honest with a nice stringer to finish in 3rd place. Kevin Jennings followed up his win on Caney with a strong showing to claim the highly coveted Moon Griffon award. With that and $2 you can buy a cup of coffee at some gas stations. Kade Hillestad brought in a nice limit also. Blake Pender caught a 7 plus pre-fishing yesterday but could not get her to bite again today. Great day guys in some conditions that were tough for the rest of us. See you guys next month, I would assume on Darbonne. I guess Kevin will be putting that up for a vote and asking for April conflicts soon.
