’Twas the night before baseball, and all through the house,
Not a baseball could move, not a glove nor a mouse.
The uniforms hung and the cleats sat in line,
While parents checked schedules for the hundredth time.
The bats had been packed, and the gloves had been oiled,
The boys were all ready for fields to be spoiled.
With dirt on their pants and their eyes on the prize,
They’d give it their all underneath fall skies.
The alarm clocks were set for a very early hour,
Because tournament mornings bring sour power!
With teammates beside them and families near,
They’d step on the field with excitement, not fear.
There’d be big hits and strikeouts, some hustle and cheers,
Maybe a few muddy pants—and maybe some tears.
But win or lose, one thing would remain:
They’re brothers in baseball, through sunshine and rain.
So rest up, young players, tomorrow’s the day,
Grab your glove, trust your team, and go PLAY BALL! they say.
First fall tournament—let’s give it our best,
With heart, grit, and hustle from first pitch to last!
The season is starting, the journey is new—
Let’s go, Avalanche! We believe in you! ❤️⚾️🩵
