The Union County Saddle Club, located in Monroe, NC, was founded in 1963 as a club that serves both the existing and future equine community. We offer shows February through November featuring English, Western, Gaited, Dressage and Combined Training.

I’m back on the search for your scrap lumber for Union County Saddle Club projects. As a 501c3, we work on a limited budget, but are always trying to improve our facility. We are working on adding more obstacles for our cross country course and (to come) trail/cowboy course.

Specifically I am looking for lumber 2 feet or longer (treated or untreated) all widths and thicknesses. Deck boards are golden is anyone is removing a deck. Lattice, fence posts, landscape timbers, railroad ties, balusters, even movable 6’+ lengths logs, etc. Also a functional mailbox.

If anyone has a teenager that needs a scout project, school volunteer hours, 4h project, I would love to send them some ideas we could utilize! Or if they just want to come help me clear our trail, move some things. Let me know!
