Ok so two takeaways from the Myatt Snider deal at COTA if you’re an aspiring crew guy or driver. 1st you need to be at the track somehow and 2nd always bring your gear. You need to be the guy standing there ready to go when they need someone. If you’re at home on the couch or aren’t prepared then 🤷🏼‍♂️ oh well.

My thought on two hot topics from today……the Next Gen car is a POS as a stock car and Ty Majeski jumped. Feel free to comment……

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while but I’ve just been so busy. All of our signed drivers have known this for a few weeks but my business partner Mark has taken control of everything competition related. This was a planned move and everything is good. I’m not 100% sure what all that will look like moving forward but I’m sure he will do great things with it. As for me I’m not 100% sure what I will be doing either lol. I’m trying to figure out the best way to still help as many guys as possible live out their dream……it just won’t be from turning wrenches on race cars all day. While I’m working on a few things, I am doing some consulting. If you need help with your racing career whether you’re trying to get started, trying to advance, or just need help mapping things out feel free to reach out. Ive worked in the racing industry from the bottom to the top. If I can help I will and if I can’t I’ll tell you I can’t. Good luck to all you guys as the season starts to wind down!

Congratulations to JMR driver Emil Borchert. He made his Legends debut at Florence Motor Speedway last night! He ran smooth and fast all day, picking up in every session on his way to a top 10 finish. He will be back behind the wheel this coming weekend 5-24 at Florence once again. He is sponsored by Astvia and we highly recommend you check them out!

This picture popped up as a FB memory today and I kind of chuckle at how much we did from a 2000 square foot shop but it also got me thinking. When I was about 12 years old I knew I wanted to race for a living one day. Didn’t have a clue how that was going to happen. I came from a very humble background. But I wanted it so bad I figured it out and ran my first race when I was about 18. At the time I thought getting to that first little dirt race was about the hardest thing I had ever done. Fast forward about 5 or 6 years and I was racing all over the south east….just figuring it out as I went. When I turned 30 my daughter had just been born and I had came to the realization that my future in racing was going to need to be working on cars rather than driving. I knew I needed to be in the NASCAR world. Once again I didn’t have a clue how I was going to do it. So I went to work figuring that out. That was a long story I won’t go into but about a year later I got my first full time paying position in racing …….making $35 a day. But I was IN. I put my head down and went to work and around 18 months later I was a crew chief in the Truck series making substantialy more than $35 a day lol. Fast forward a few years and the economy took a nose dive and the unemployment rate in racing was about 50%. I knew I needed more control over my future and I knew that was going to need to be as an owner. Once again I had no idea how. I was basically unemployed, had a wife, 2 small kids, a mortgage and somewhere around $1100 dollars in the bank. But I put my head down and figured it out. This picture was about 8 months after making that decision. We had 4 trucks, an ARCA car , 2 worn out engines and this tiny shop. A year later we moved into a 15000 square foot shop that we shared with a Cup team and went on from there. I don’t say all this to pat myself on the back , I say all this to show guys if you want it bad enough you will figure it out ……plus this is why I don’t take excuses very well. Good luck to all you out there chasing your dream ……I assure you it will be worth it one day.
