Some future changes include establishing an Advisory Board, rotation of Monroe County schools, Coaches Committee, new events, and a Scholarship program!

It doesn't matter what school you are from, what your experience is, etc. We are looking for people who want to make a difference in our county and further improve Monroe Victory Day.

As we begin to move forward in the restructuring process, I wanted to publish this survey for anyone who is willing....

Good evening everyone,
While participant families have been notified, we wanted to announce that the 2026 Monroe Victory Day will not be taking place due to circumstances beyond our control. We will be pausing Monroe Victory Day for one year while we re-evaluate our process and complete our status as a 501 c3 non-profit organization. We have much bigger plans for Monroe Victory Day beyond our annual football event including a scholarship fund.

We will also be creating an “Executive Committee” of parents, community members, and other stakeholders so that we can grow Monroe Victory Day and furthermore, strengthen our internal operations. One idea that was suggested, that I am open to, is rotating Monroe Victory Day amongst schools in the Monroe County area willing to host it.

Our intention for Monroe Victory Day has always been to be an event that gives individuals with disabilities their “moment” on the football field and bring the community together. We are grateful that Aaron Segedi, the creator of Victory Day has always given us his blessing in this event and we will continue to carry on his mission. Monroe Victory Day is much bigger than any particular school.

Monroe Victory Day will return in the summer of 2027. I’m always open to questions. Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding.

2026 Monroe Victory Day registration is off to a fast start! 🏈

We currently have 30/50 spots filled for our 4th annual Monroe Victory Day which takes place on Saturday, August 22 at 10am at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Academy in Newport. This event is FREE and open to individuals with disabilities ages 6-26. Each participant will receive a jersey, medal, and swag bag.

Registration is NOW OPEN for Monroe Victory Day!

Hosted by SMCC Football, Monroe Victory Day is more than just an event – it’s an unforgettable football experience for individuals with disabilities, ages 6–26.

Saturday, August 22
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
St. Charles Borromeo Athletic Complex

Each participant is paired with 2–3 members of the SMCC football team or team captains from other area high schools as they move through exciting football skill stations before scoring a touchdown! Each participant will receive a game-day jersey, medal, swag bag, and lunch.

Monroe Victory Day is a FREE event, but pre-registration is required. Registration is limited to the first 50 participants who sign up.
