I was amazed by the bone structure of this big fish!

At the turn of the century Dolfi Landing / Port Chaos was a brickyard.
They made firebrick for the open hearth steel furnaces and other industries of the time.
Found a nice complete brick today, always brings me back to this photo of the crew.
Maybe the good old days were not that good!

Sunnyside Gallatin park update Aug-3-2024.
The 20-40 feet of additional shore gained by the dam removal is starting to be reclaimed by nature.
The mud at the water interface is slowly being eroded away by wave action. The mud further inland is drying up and starting to host vegatation.
I dont believe the final 1 foot drop is going to gain much shoreline as it is already near the rivers drop off point.
Because of the new gated dam at Braddock controlling the water this portion of the park will become much more usable due to much less minor flooding events.
Once we get the boat ramp updated to the new level, this is going to be a great improvement to our park!

Looks like the adjusted the depth gauges in the Elizabeth pool for the new levels. "Normal pool" is 9ft once it lowers to the final elevation it should read 5.8ft.
This isnt actual depth!
Its based off a 9ft depth down from the crest of the dam.
This is also during a low flow drought condition when "normal pool" is reached. Typically the river runs at a higher gauge height 10ft +/-
