I am filled with joy that i got to bring back open gym. The kids loved it and I loved watching them play and make friends with the kids that they did not know we had about 13 kids tonight which was pretty amazing. Can't wait to do it again hopefully we reach more thank you to all the people who came out and helped supervise and helped give these kids something to do on a Saturday Snowy Evening

The Monessen Recreation Department isnt just about planning events it's about being part of the community and helping out when you are needed. I was very proud to assist Mayor Matt Shorraw, Monessen and mrs. Marsha Adams and the douglas students with the beginning of painting a mural on SchoonmakerToday thanks for the opportunity and look forward to the next event. Also thanks to the street dept. For making sure we had what we needed.
