Huge congrats to my boys in Wink!

Ean, Kolt, and Re*****on all played an important part in the play-in game to clench a spot for the play-offs! Such a fun group of guys to watch play, go make some noise and bring back some gold gloves to Wink!

Good luck in the first round this week, also stay tuned for an exciting announcement soon!🏔️

Coaching moment with my boy O’Ryan.

First off, shoutout to him for having a great season as a freshman on varsity. He played a big role in the success of the team this year and is definitely going to be a key piece of that program over the next 3 years.

One thing we talked about here is not letting a pitch down the middle get too deep. When that happens, hitters tend to rush the swing and lose the barrel behind them leading to a poor barrel path and weak/inconsistent contact.

Instead we want to be on time, attack the mistake pitch, and catch it out front where we can do damage. At the older levels, it’s not always about changing the swing it’s about controlling the point of contact!🏔️

Angled front toss is one of my go to drills to help hitters stay connected and keep their hands working the right way.

The goal here is to keep the hands inside the baseball, stay connected through the swing, and drive the ball the other way with intent.

When the hands get away from the body, hitters tend to work around the ball which leads to rollovers and weak contact. This drill helps clean that up and keeps everything moving through the zone the correct way!🏔️

Logan hits a long ball against Pecos!☄️

He was the first high school athlete I started working with when I launched Peak Athletics, and it’s been awesome watching his growth since day one!

He’s put in the work every weekend, stayed coachable, and trusted the process every step of the way and now it’s showing up in a HUGE way!

Proud of you bud, can’t wait to see how you develop over the next couple years!🏔️

From youth to high school, these athletes are showing up and putting in the work!

Everyone’s at a different stage and that’s exactly how it should be. Some are building foundations, some are refining their swing, but all of them are working toward where they want to be.

Nothing is rushed, Nothing is given. Just consistent work, learning the right way, and getting better one session at a time.🏔️

Hunters been coming to me for quite some time now, and it’s been awesome watching him continue to improve and grow as a pitcher!

We’ve really been focused on staying strong with the front side, staying closed longer, and working down the mound with intent. When everything stays connected and he finishes through the pitch, you can see the difference immediately.

It’s not about doing anything crazy just REPEATING good movements, staying consistent, and trusting the work!🏔️

These guys out in Wink are having a strong season! The work they’re putting in behind the scenes is showing up when it matters.

At the same time, they’re not staying complacent either. There’s still another peak to reach, and we’re continuing to clean things up, stay consistent, and build on what’s already working.

That’s what separates good players from great ones.

Putting in work as the sun goes down, trusting the process, and staying on the path to where they want to be!🏔️

All of my young athletes have been putting in some serious work, and it’s showing every time they step in the cage!

At this age, it’s not about being perfect it’s about building strong foundations, creating good habits, and learning how the body should move. That’s what sets them up for success as they get older.

We’re focused on the details right now. Cleaning things up, staying consistent, and developing swings they can rely on long term.

They’re not where they want to be yet…BUT they’re exactly where they need to be.

Keep working, one day at a time!🏔️

Coaching moment with my guy Damien.

One of the most common struggles for both youth and high school hitters is handling the outside pitch. When it’s taught the right way and players understand how to train for it, it becomes a huge advantage at the plate.

The key is letting the ball travel deeper while still attacking the baseball, not just trying to poke it the other way.

On the first swing you can see the barrel dragging through the zone as he tries to guide the ball to the opposite field. After we talked through the adjustment and what the swing should feel like, you can see the difference immediately driving balls hard up the middle and the other way.

Small adjustments like this make a big difference when hitters step into the box.

Spots are becoming very limited right now so if you're interested in getting your athlete in for training, send me a message and I’ll get you scheduled!🏔️
