Last Saturday we went to Andrew and Melissa troje's wedding with Chelle Troje-Hayslett.

We've got a few blackbelts we want to feature this week!

First up is one of our 1st Degrees, Mr. Jacob who completed his second qualifier on the journey to his 2nd degree black belt.

Mr. Jacob has always loved performing board breaks with what many would consider less-desirable techniques (example: 360° roundhouse, turning hook-kick) Today was no exception with a top of the foot jumping front snap kick, Mr. Jacob broke his required two boards as smooth as butter!

We are so proud of his maturation and development as a budding young black-belt and cant wait to see what he comes up with next!

A reminder for all of our students that this Saturday, August 2nd we will not have our regularly scheduled classes due to bi-monthly Taekwondo Promotion Testing.

Even if you are not testing (as a TKD student or from another class outside of TKD) you are more than welcome to attend/watch promotion testing.

We also welcome volunteers utilized throughout the day for board holding, sparring partners and kick pad helpers! =)

Today marks our 6-year anniversary at our avenue of the cities dojang!

We have loved every minute of it... well, besides those COVID minutes... EVERY. MINUTE!

Thank you to every student and their family for how you have invested in this space and our Taekwondo family.

We've included a picture gallery of the day we toured this space for the first time (fun fact: It used to be a Ray's Barber Shop college!) as well as our first class ever held on the mats 6 years ago!

We anticipate even more years of great things for the future!

45 years ago today, an 18 year old, freshly minted high-school graduate walked into Chung Kim's Black Belt Academy for his first Taekwondo class.....and life was never the same again!

Happy Taekwondo Birthday sir! We are so glad you took that first step all those years ago!
