Aerobic kickboxing classes, which go by many names, from Tae KarDio to Cardio-Karate- have grown increasingly popular in recent years. Tae KarDio, designed after Tae Kwon Do, Korean form of martial arts, incorporates basic kicks and punches in various formats specially-designed to maintain a good working heart rate while balancing the workout between the upper and lower body. There is no

question that Tae KarDio is a great way to lose weight and get physically fit. Since the workout is easily adjusted by the participant simply by regulating the power of punches and kicks, the height of kicks, the depth of stances, or the tempo, this is a great workout for the unfit as well as the extremely fit! A good rule of thumb is that participants that typically work out twice a week or not at all should kick no higher than knee height, participants that typically work out two to three times per week should kick knee to hip height, and extremely fit participants should kick from hip height to as high as their flexibility allows. This provides a great workout for
everyone, and as your fitness level increases, adjusting the height of the kicks and the power of the punches keeps the results coming! The Tae KarDio card allows you to pay by the class, so that you only pay for
classes that you actually attend!
