The WDRL Slot car series heads into the final two races of the 25-26 season and the points battle for both classes are closer than in the entire epic history of the series.

In the Sprint car class, Wesley Jones holds a narrow lead over a 2nd place tie between the farther/ son duo of Patrick Moore and Griffin Moore, with defending series champion Shane Caralee Davis less than a single position back in 4th.

In the Late Model series, on the back of two week run of strong finishes, Rob Manning took over the point lead with a narrow 17 point margin over 2-time defending series champ Shane Davis, with Moore 37 points back and Roy Schmidt still within striking distance.

For reference feature winning is 100 points and decrease by 5 points per position.

The Hot and heavy action rolls into another exciting weekend with Friday night, March 20 featuring Champ cars and both vintage classes. The series season wraps up Saturday at Bent Wrench for both Sprint car and Late models at Bent Wrench.

The weather is getting warmer which means the hot indoor action of the WDRL Slot car series enters the home stretch.

Only 2 weekends (4 race days) remain in the 26 season.

Racing opens Friday for the last stop of the season at Devil's Bowl in Moline Friday night and moves to the always fun Shamrock Shuffle at Bent Wrench speedway on Saturday.

Doors open at 5 Friday, noon on Saturday.

We will be qualifying Champ cars and running both classes of vintage cars.

I will have 2 or 3 Champ cars loaners available.

NOTE: We will be running our OWN rear tires on the Champ cars. Kevin @ Thunder Road should be have new tires in on Thursday. I will have a couple new sets available and plenty of decent spares. The Hudy will also be on hand.

Wdrl point chase heats up!

A tight battle for both point titles as Wesley Jones takes a narrow point lead into the home stretch of the sprint car point season. Defending champ Shane Caralee Davis is a close 2nd, with Roy Schmidt and Griffin Moore both within striking distance.

In the late models "Rapid" Roy Schmidt holds the slimmest of margins, a SINGLE point lead over defending champ Shane Davis, with Patrick Moore 3rd and Rob Manning making a late season charge putting himself into serious point contention.
