Back from my 10 day break from social media and I HIGHLY recommend doing this. I was less distracted and less anxious about the world. I spent time reading more and running with friends. Being away from social platforms is not living in a cave but taking a break from the constant negativity (I did miss seeing you friends😊), FOMO, and competition.
I may do this more often

Another fun Ugly Sweater 5k! I always love this event and seeing everyone dressed festive and having fun. It’s also a great opportunity to give back and donate food to the Molalla Service Center. Thanks to my co-leader .roth.70 for making a new route last minute.(PGE still repairing along our usual route), making the medals and providing boxes for the donations.

Another Columbia Gorge half in the books! Yes the number on my distance is correct, 13.72. Not enough sleep and sheeply following the runner in front of me then he looked back at me, like ‘where do we turn?’ Yeah, i missed my course turn and ran an extra .62 miles. Gah!!! Thankfully a race official drove in just at the right time and directed us back. So dumb 🤦‍♀️ I know better. Either way, Lily did fantastic and loved coming in the finish. She was sure all the cheers were for her ❤️ And her finishing dog tag medal got personal engraving this year. Nice upgrade and great job as always.
Big shout out to for all his support, driving and keeping me covered so I could change out of wet clothes❤️ You’re the best babe 😘

Another great 10k this morning! Perfect cool fall weather this morning with a gorgeous sunrise and misty fog that slowly warmed up. Goal for today was to race strong without reinjuring my leg. I also wanted to run more in an aerobic zone 3 heartrate then kick it in gear to zone 4 at the finish. Goals accomplished ✅💪 Not my best time but im pretty happy that i can still finish sub one hour.
Bonus was seeing some of my BRF at Gwynns coffee after🥰
