Hey High Desert Communities!📢BOOKS IN MOTION®: DANCE + LITERACY is coming to YOU! Our newest book, “Peter and the Wolf” written by Sergei Prokofiev and performed by Heather Benes and the East Kern Ragtag Revels, will launch on Monday, August 1 @ 3:00 pm! When a young boy named Peter disobeys his grandfather, he finds himself face to face with the wolf! Will he escape the wolf with the help of his friends - a bird, a duck, and a cat? Head on over to your local library to find out! 👦🏻🐺🐦🐱📕

The Books in Motion program features:

💃 A live dance performance (in English and Spanish) based upon well-known children’s books.

🕺A mini dance class where children will learn a short dance that coincides with the book’s theme.

✂️ A crafting session to reinforce the book’s theme and promote role playing.

📕 A FREE BOOK to encourage reading at home.
