Don’t know about yall but we are ready to hit the Brazos River again right below Lake Whitney Damn. We took a 4 mile trip downriver last year on our anniversary and plan on going even farther this year. We have kayaked 2 different rivers last year and plan on adding another 1 or 2 new rivers to our adventures this year!!!

Last year was a great year of fishing for our family! Really got my youngest daughter and wife into it and now they are my fishing partners. My daughter and wife both caught there first drums, long nose gars, carp, and buffalos. Also my daughter first largemouth. This year we are getting started a little late but still have plenty of time to catch up! Hope everyone has a great year of fishing as well!

Some pics from our trip to the river on August 17th. We paddled down the river to a good looking spot and noticed we had forgot some of the bait we use so I just whipped up something not knowing it would work or not and within 10 minutes my daughter hooked into a really nice buffalo fish. I think it may the biggest one we have caught yet but we didn’t have a scale on hand. We released back into the river and checked our jug lines where we had 2 catfish and a gar. One of the catfish got of at the kayak and we released the gar. Can’t wait to get back on the river again with the temps starting to cool off!

Had a blast on the water with my buddy Mark. We got about 5 keepers (crappie) and I lost a few really nice ones trying to land them in the kayak with the 8 foot long poles is a little difficult and still getting used to. Mark taught me a lot today and I love to hear him talk and tell me about his fish guiding days.

Got to spend some time with that special woman on the river last Sunday and it was truly remarkable. A day that I will never forget and the weather was nice and we caught some good fish. No one in this world means as much as she does to me and I am grateful for every moment and all the memories I get to share with her and my family. It means the world to me! I love you baby!

Today was an absolute delight on the Nolan River! It started kayaking up the beautiful river where my youngest daughter landed a nice carp followed by several catfish. We kept 3 of the catfish and my wife reeled in a big buffalo. After that my daughter caught a short nose gar on a nightcrawler! We kayaked back down river and ended the day by picking some wild mustang grapes! My wife and daughters make delicious jams and other treats!!!!

Had a blast with my wife and daughter out on the Nolan River again June 29! My wife and daughter both got there first carp on rod and reel and we caught plenty of carp, sunfish, and a few catfish. Kept some of the smaller carp for gar bait and released the bigger ones. Wife’s first carp was 5 pounder and daughters was 4 pounder. The biggest of the trip was 6 pounds! Hold em up baby

Had a blast Friday July 11 we stopped at peach paradise in Arknsas on our way back from the Ozark Forest and picked some peaches! We had a blast and got a load of delicious peaches! Planning on making some jams or cobblers or canning some!
