What a great day of judo at the BOJUKA Judo Tournament in Seaside! We had many exciting matches, excellent sportsmanship, and tremendous camaraderie. It was a very well-run tournament.
Congratulations to all our competitors:
🥇 Josh — 1st Place and undefeated at 3–0
🥇 Cassidy — 1st Place
🥈 Cassandra — 2nd Place
🥉 Rose Cooper — 3rd Place
🥉 Tadeo — 3rd Place
🥉 Eli — 3rd Place in his very first tournament!
Ryan also competed well and had some great matches.
Meher did very well in her first tournament. She fought with heart, and I am very proud of her!
Our MVP of the day was Josh. He went undefeated and executed several outstanding Sumi Gaeshis!
Everyone represented Modesto Judo Club exceptionally well. Great job—we are very proud of the entire team! 🥋

Great night of practice! Clayton and the crew did an awesome job with the kids’ classes. They were packed, we had new kids come in, and all of you stepped up and helped everything run smoothly and stay organized.
The adult classes were great as well. We had some excellent wrestling and grappling matches, and everyone was on point and training hard.
I’m very proud of our club and the way everyone continues to work together and support each other. Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight such a great night of training.
