Doc Mac Hormone, Weight, Health, and Mind Optimizer We are on a mission to educate women who say "I just do not feel right.

I know there is something wrong, but my doctors can't seem to find out why." We have discovered that its a combination of Biochemistry (hormones), Diet (manmade food) and Toxicity (chemical sensitivities). We treat this by naturally balancing your hormones, diet and detoxifying your cells, organs and body.

“Doc, why is it more difficult to be disciplined in my 60s than it was when I was a younger woman?”

The Answer
Dopamine.

Because most of us are drowning in it.

I have seen Vicky sit at a slot machine and say, “I’ll just play for a minute” as she puts one finger in the air. Then I’ve watched her go down the dopamine hole and be lost for hours?

Her character is not flawed.

She is experiencing dopamine overload.

And almost nobody understands how much it is affecting all of our lives.

You’re drowning. I am drowning. We are all drowning.

One of my clients asked me today, “Doc, what test should I have to see how well I am doing when it comes to a long and happy life?” There is no one test, I told her. There is one question you should ask yourself.

Did you eat well? Did you move well? Did you think well?

“But Doc, that’s three questions?”

I smiled and said, “You’re right. This is the question you should ask.”

Did you eat, move, and think well?

Most women think weight gain after menopause is caused by getting older.

Vicky and I don't.

We think it's caused by our understanding of what changed being too limited.

The good news?

What changed can often be improved.

Today's article explains one of the most important hormones you've probably never heard much about—a hormone that helps determine whether you feel full after a meal or find yourself going back for seconds.

If you've ever wondered why some women seem to eat less without struggling, this article is for you.

Read it here, and if you enjoy it, subscribe.

Every week, Vicky and I share what we've learned from helping thousands of women navigate life after menopause.

Your Third Act should be your best act.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy 70th birthday yesterday.

Normally, I would thank each of you individually, but my Facebook app has apparently low T and refuses to function on my phone. Neither Facebook nor AI has been able to revive it yet.

I also want to thank the friends who showed up to celebrate with me at Whiskey Jacks, and a special thank you to Tony for hosting us. It meant a lot to spend the afternoon laughing, telling stories, and being reminded how fortunate I am to have such great people in my life.

And then there’s Vicky.

At many of our gatherings, she’s often the only woman in a room full of guys and somehow still manages to be “one of the guys” better than most of us. I’m beyond lucky she’s my wife, best friend, travel partner, and teammate in this crazy adventure called life.

The celebration continued back at our house with more friends stopping by, and then our beautiful daughter topped the day off by bringing us Thai food for dinner. Not a bad way to turn 70.
Yesterday reminded me of something important:

A rich life has very little to do with things and everything to do with people.

I truly believe my 70s will be the healthiest, happiest, most disciplined, and most rewarding decade of my life.
I still have unfinished work to do.

Still people to help.
Still grandchildren to watch grow.
Still adventures ahead.

And I’m grateful all of you are part of the journey.

P.S. Check out my jacket. It's 45 years old, and "Old Friends" was our team's name when we were in our 20s. Now we are really OLD friends. We all remember those incredible times playing Flag football and softball around the state, and sometimes even in other states. The jacket still fits well.

Menopause doesn’t just change a woman’s hormones.

It often changes how she sees herself.

Some women slowly begin defining themselves by:
the weight gain,
the exhaustion,
the brain fog,
the clothes that no longer fit,
and the reflection they no longer recognize.

And once identity changes…

Everything changes.

Because the woman who says:
“I’m old now.”
moves differently than the woman who says:
“This is my third act, and I’m just getting started.”

Years ago, I had a client tell me:
“Doc, I don’t even feel like the main character in my own life anymore.”

That sentence stayed with me.

Because menopause is not supposed to be the ending of the story.

It can become the beginning of the wisest, healthiest, strongest, most disciplined version of yourself.

But only if you stop defining yourself by your symptoms.

In this week’s article, I write about menopause and identity:
how the way you define yourself quietly shapes your hormones, discipline, weight, habits, and ultimately your future.

If you are a woman who feels like she has somehow disappeared inside her own body…

This article was written for you.
