Located between Spring Hill College, Mobile Museum of Art, Playhouse in the Park, and Mobile Botanical Gardens, Classical Ballet of Mobile is an Academy for Pre-Ballet through Advanced dancers, offering professional instruction in classical ballet and Broadway-style theatre jazz. We believe in limiting class sizes to provide individualized, hands-on instruction to our dancers. The combined experie

nce of our faculty results in highly-trained dancers with exceptional ballet technique and artistry. Our beautiful studios are equipped with state-of-the-art sprung floors to ensure our dancers are always safe during class. We understand the importance of school and other activities to create well-developed individuals, so no contracts are required, and we make every effort to work with the schedules of our dancers by allowing enrollment throughout the year. Since the school opened, our dancers have been accepted into the most competitive ballet summer intensives in the nation, such as the School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Carolina Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Joffrey Ballet. Classical Ballet of Mobile is committed to the whole child and helping each student develop a lifelong love of this beautiful art form - regardless of age or level of ability.

Guest Faculty Spotlight: Abigrace DiPrima

We are thrilled to welcome Abigrace DiPrima to the Classical Ballet of Mobile Summer Intensive 2026!

A current company dancer with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, Abigrace brings a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary ballet, along with professional performance experience in acclaimed productions across the United States. Her refined technique, artistry, and dedication to the art form make her a wonderful addition to our summer faculty.

Students will have the opportunity to train with a professional artist whose repertoire includes works by Balanchine, classical favorites such as Les Sylphides and The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary works by noted choreographers.

Classical Ballet of Mobile is thrilled to welcome an outstanding lineup of guest artists and educators for our 2026 Summer Programs!

This summer, students will have the opportunity to train with accomplished professionals from prestigious ballet companies and renowned training programs. Our guest faculty bring a wealth of performance experience, technical expertise, and artistic inspiration to every class.

Through master classes, workshops, intensives, variations coaching, pointe training, contemporary dance, and specialized conditioning programs, dancers will gain valuable insights from artists who are actively shaping the world of dance today.

These unique opportunities allow students to expand their training, refine their technique, and experience different teaching styles while being inspired by professional artists who have performed and trained at the highest levels.

We honor the life and legacy of our Founding Director, Pamela Thompson.

Miss Pam’s dedication to Classical Ballet of Mobile shaped generations of dancers and helped build the heart of our organization.

Her influence will continue to live on in the discipline, grace, and love of ballet she instilled in so many. We are deeply grateful for the time, talent, and passion she gave so selflessly to this community.

Our hearts are with her family, friends, former students, and all who loved her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Step into the magical world of The Nutcracker!

Designed for young dancers who dream big and love the stage, this 4-day summer camp blends classical ballet training, creativity, storytelling, and holiday sparkle.

Throughout the week, dancers will train in ballet technique, learn choreography inspired by beloved Nutcracker scenes (Clara, Snowflakes, Spanish, Chinese, Marzipan, Flowers & more), and explore musicality, stage presence, and expressive movement. Dancers will also enjoy group work, partnering concepts, and a special Nutcracker-themed arts & crafts project to take home!

A full week of Nutcracker sparkle, strength, creativity, and imagination awaits!
