You know how much I love to announce our next Est Fest location on a sulty January day. Well here it is! Wacey and Jamie Kirkpatrick have invited us to join them at the home of the Kirkpatrick Cattle Company on September 11-13, 2026. This is a family-owned and operated ranch raising cattle and bison in the Cheyenne River Breaks of western South Dakota at 23942 Robbs Flat Road, Midland, SD 57552. Jamie is a long time Est Fest girl and one hell of a hand. Put on your big girl pants, this is gonna be a fun one!

Hey All:

For those of you who are new to our kind of adventure, the price is $40 per adult ($15 for kids under 18) for the entire weekend. That includes your T-shirt, your guided ride, Port-a-Potties, and a place to park with water for your horses. You will be responsible to provide everything else which includes your meals and accommodations for your horses.

Here is an approximate schedule…We gather Friday afternoon roughly 2 o’clock and take out a ride for a couple of hours. Saturday morning we leave camp at 9 AM and return at noon. Take a break for lunch and then take a second ride at 2 o’clock, and then back at approximately 5-6pm for dinner. Sunday morning we take one last ride again at about 9 AM and back by noon.

No need to register or pay in advance. When you arrive, you’ll sign your releases , pick up your T-shirt and pay your fees.

Sawyer Dowling, her mother and daughters have been regular Est Fest attendees for decades and now Sawyer and her husband, Luke, will host us on their beautiful cattle ranch south of Fort Pierre.
