A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is currently in effect for the Gering area.

Families and players, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms to develop. In the Panhandle, that can mean damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning, and rapidly changing conditions — sometimes with very little warning.

What this means for today's games: Player safety is our top priority. Games may be delayed, shortened, or canceled today on short notice depending on how the weather develops.

At the first sound of thunder or sight of lightning, players must clear the field immediately and seek sturdy shelter — a building or an enclosed vehicle, not a dugout or under trees.

Stay informed: We'll post all delays, cancellations, and weather updates to our page and TeamSnap as the situation develops. Please check both before heading to the field, and turn on your TeamSnap notifications so you don't miss an alert.

Stay safe, keep an eye on the sky, and watch for our updates. 🥎
