Special Track & Field - Mitchell, Orleans, Shoals Annual event held for students with exceptional needs in Mitchell, Orleans, and Shoals Schools

This annual event is held for students with exceptional needs in Mitchell, Orleans, and Shoals community schools. It is a one-day event that brings our Special Education students together to promote inclusion and equality through fun activities and track & field events that are tailored to their unique needs. This year's event will be held on Friday, April 26th at Mitchell High School, Terry Cole

Football Field. We anticipate over 75 Special Education students from Mitchell, Orleans and Shoals schools to participate along with the help of Special Education teachers, aides, student athletes, and other volunteers.

We have a winner!!! Congratulations to this year's T-Shirt Design winner, Ryan Ye of Mitchell Junior High Schooll 🥳 Thank you to everyone that particiated in this year's contest. Ryan's design will be featured on this year's Special Track & Field t-shirts that will be worn by all Special Athletes, staff, and volunteers. There will also be an opportunity to purchase t-shirts to help raise funds for next year's event. The link to order online will be provided by the end of this month.
