Well, that was fun! The Lady Reds capped of a great season with a strong showing on their home track against some high quality teams. The Lady Reds topped their point total from 2 years ago (meet was cancelled last year). There were 8 PRs, 2 SBs in relays, AND ANOTHER SCHOOL RECORD!!

Join us today at the Missouri Valley Athletic Complex for the final meet of the season. Field events start at 4:00 with the girls shot put and high jump. Running events begin at 4:45. Come out and support this fantastic group of young Lady Reds as they close out a great season!

WIC Results with top 6 placers…

Conference Champion - Madi M in 100 m hurdles

2nd Place - Brixley V in 100 m hurdles and Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Brixley, Lexa, Abagail, Madi with a new season best time of 1:12.63 - an improvement by 0.65 seconds

4th Place
Sprint Medley Relay (Raelee T, Lexa V, Abagail B, Teagan B)with season best time of 2:10.97 - an improvement by 2.87 seconds

5th Place
Aubree B - Shot Put (8” PR with a throw of 24-03.00)
Madi M - 200 Hurdles

6th Place
4 x 400 Relay (Jade P, Raelee T, Savannah T, Kaydee P) 4:59.63

Teagan B improved 4” with a leap of 13-01 in the long jump
Savannah T improved by 0.37 seconds in 1500 with a time of 6:03.41

Team finishes in 6th place overall with 56 points which are both improvements over last year’s performance! Way to go ladies!!

Wow! What a day in Waukee! Ten young Lady Reds took to the track and field at the JH State Meet today at Waukee Northwest High School. They are bringing home a STATE RUNNER-UP finish in the shuttle hurdle relay! Congratulations to Brixley, Madison, Lexa, and Madi on another great performance. Lexa also medals in her first ever 200 meter hurdle race with a time of 31.77.

Kaydee - long jump
Savannah - 1500

It was an amazing day with an amazing group of young ladies. They represented Missouri Valley very well!

SCHOOL RECORD ALERT!!

The 4 x 100 team of Teagan B, Lexa V, Abagail B, and Brixley V shatter the school record by 1.71 seconds! They moved the baton around the track in 55.26 seconds!

Our Lady Reds were in action last Thursday at Woodbine, competing hard in a storm-shortened meet. We’re proud to share that the team brought home a 2nd place finish overall!

After a 4-day layoff, the Missouri Valley Junior High Lady Reds hit the track again, traveling to Underwood for their 3rd meet of the season—and they didn’t miss a beat!

The team brought home a 3rd place finish, clocked 8 personal records, and posted 3 season-best relay times. Way to show grit and determination, ladies! Let’s keep the momentum rolling!

Great job to our young Lady Reds tonight in Underwood! 3rd place team finish behind very solid and deep Treynor and Underwood teams. We learned a lot about ourselves and know what we need to work on moving forward. Check back tomorrow for event results.
