Yesterday was a great day. They finished in 21st out of 24 shuttle teams. We are very proud of these girls! They have put in a ton of work the last couple of years to be where they today and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Interesting fact - Of all shuttle hurdle teams, in all four classes that qualified for state (96 shuttle hurdles team in total), these four girls were the youngest.

Mr. Walsh, Mr. Cihacek, and members of the track team would like to share an exciting opportunity for our younger students. We are offerering a three week track club (one day a week).

6/3 and 6/10:
- Fun activity warm up
- Agility/obstacle course
- 2 times short sprints
- celebrate Personal Records
- popsicles

6/17:
Track meet with two sprints and a relay.

This 4x200 relay team of Louisa Wilson, Abby Bissen, Dilynn Meade, and Lexa Vinsonhaler set the school record on Thursday evening at the state qualifying meet in Treynor, IA!

It was a bittersweet moment for these four girls. Although they broke the school record by .14 seconds, they missed out on the state track meet by .05 seconds.

It was a blast coaching them this year and we were very proud of how they represented MVHS. We can’t wait to see them run next year!
