Jesse was one of my first mentors in climbing. Freshman year of college he took me out to Blodgett Canyon and showed me what fast and light is all about - stripping all excess off my rack, using tag lines, and the magical Houdini wind shirt. He encouraged me to do pitches I thought were above my head, and pushed my mindset forward.

Mentorship has been the guiding light in my life and career. I credit much of my success to the generosity of those willing to take me under their wing.

I feel that this tradition has quietly disappeared in outdoor culture. Information at our fingertips, and a pipeline from climbing gyms to crags has put a wedge of convenience between us and the deep expertise of those who’ve already walked our path.

Let’s keep this culture alive in climbing.

Quick-attach Duraflex buckles on an adjustable handle make it a convenient sidekick on and off the bike. Three folded Tweave stretch pockets for gels, snacks, and whatever else the ride demands.
