Just a quick note to everyone that if you don't see any more posts from Kerley's Sporting Adventures in the future, Facebook has decided that the content is too graphic and is not allowed. One of our last posts was of a client from Texas with a limit of Cinnamon Teal he shot with Kerley on Thursday. I talked about how we can send folks on hunts for specific species of waterfowl, etc. I then used Facebook's "Boost your Post" feature which sends the same content to a lot more people besides our regular followers with the same hunting and fishing interests. They do this for a small fee. I have done this several times in the past showing harvested elk, birds, etc. with no problem. This time I must have had the wrong person (censor) look at it and was disallowed. This was their response when I asked why.
"Hi Chris,
Here's what's preventing your ad from being approved:
Image:We don't allow ads that feature scary, gory or sensational content like animal cruelty.
The reason behind our policies:
We don't allow ads that contain shocking, disrespectful or sensational content, including ads that depict violence or threats of violence. Your ad, image, video thumbnail or video can't feature sensational or graphic content (even if it's for an artistic or education reason) because of their highly sensitive nature. I suggest removing this type of content from your ad and/or using a different image or video. For more details, see our Advertising Policies."
Obviously someone didn't like the picture of the ducks and was offended.
I told them they are a bunch of hypocrites and whoever is making these decisions had better be strict vegetarians or vegans or maybe they haven't seen their meat from the local grocery store being slaughtered and also some of the gross conditions these animals are raised in.
Let us know what you think!!!
