Introducing our best commuter of the year, Brian West. Since day one of employment at Big Sky Bikes, Brian has tried to lead by example for the community of Missoula by cycling into work and showing that riding to work can be fun and just the way. Through smokey summers to icy winters, Brian finds a way to get it done.
Brian chooses to ride for many reasons, but mostly because he finds it to be fun. Brian finds freedom in a life behind bars… handlebars. His interests in personal health and the environment make cycling to work a no brainer.
What magical machine does he use to attempt a car free lifestyle? His daily driver is a single speed bicycle that is equipped with triple bell technology. The bike is a Surly Preamble that is uniquely his own. Featuring a handlebar/basket, a rear trunk bag, and a drivetrain that's easier to work on than a Swiss watch. The distracting stickers are what makes this steed complete. The steering stabilizer that holds the front wheel straight while perched on its two legged kickstand are just a couple of the personal touches that makes this bike so unique and perfect for the city.
