Lake Mission Viejo is located in south Orange County in the City of Mission Viejo. This man-made 170 acre lake was founded in March of 1977 and is enjoyed by local member residents for swimming, fishing, picnicking, sailing and other leisure activities. The Lake is owned and managed by Lake Mission Viejo Association and is entirely funded by membership dues. The membership base is limited to an estimated 24,500 households within the City of Mission Viejo. The Lake has two beaches; North Beach that is open year round (except Christmas Day) and East Beach that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pontoon party boats, SUP, paddle boats, sail boats and fishing boats are available for rent. Summer concerts are held on a waterside stage and other events take place throughout the year for all ages.
