So proud of my student Nixon, who has gone from a beginner to being talent scouted and invited for tryouts with a strong regional team this week - all in just a few months! Last night we got some last minute reps in until dark, and I’m so impressed with both his progress and his character. I’m so proud to be his coach. Go Nixon go!

Natalie came to me as a complete beginner four weeks ago and is developing so well. Today we hyper-focused on her non-dominant diving side - building up again in incremental steps. We looked at footwork, dealing with crosses, as well as some fundamental 1v1 techniques and distribution. Going into her first game next week she is looking like a whole new keeper. Proud of you and the work you put in Natalie!

Great first fundamentals session with new goalkeeper Natalie today!

There’s a lot of information to absorb when learning something new - especially the minutia of goalkeeping technique - and she did wonderfully.

We covered set position, handling, basic footwork, lateral movement, and how to dive safely and confidently with correct form.

By starting from the ground and working up incrementally into low diving saves, we covered all of the moving parts in detail, explaining and demonstrating the ‘whys’ behind the ‘hows’.

By the end of the session she was diving low on both sides with confidence and technique.

Excellent job Natalie! I’m excited to help you reach your potential.

(My GoPro was in the goal, fell, and filmed the sky only🤦🏻‍♂️. Footage next time).
