At GFTC, we’re all about supporting our community and helping those of you who are truly committed to reaching Black Belt and beyond achieve your goals.

This Saturday, we’ll have some incredible Leadership Program specials designed to help families make that commitment, follow through on their goals, and take their martial arts training and leadership to the next level.

🥋 It’s not just about doing the form. It’s about PERFORMING it.

30 kids. One basic form. But when they move together with intensity, confidence, and purpose, it becomes something completely different. 🔥

That’s why we brought in a Power Ranger and professional acting coach to work with our students. They learned that performing in front of a crowd isn’t just about remembering the movements—it’s about communicating with your body, projecting confidence, and making every movement mean something.

Because whether you’re performing a martial arts form, speaking in front of a class, interviewing for a job, or leading a team someday… how you communicate matters.

We don’t just want our students to know martial arts.

We want them to know how to COMMAND THE ROOM. 👊🔥

Kids have A LOT of energy — and they need somewhere positive to put it!

At GFTC, we keep them moving from the moment class starts. Running, jumping, kicking, balancing, strengthening and challenging their coordination — all while having fun with their teammates.

But it’s about more than just getting their energy out.

We’re building stronger, healthier kids while teaching focus, discipline, confidence and leadership.

Our students had an incredible opportunity to work on acting, communication, confidence, and expressing themselves in front of others — skills that go far beyond martial arts.

A huge THANK YOU to James Davies for sharing his experience, energy, and knowledge with our GFTC families! 🙌

And thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this such a fun and memorable event. We love creating opportunities for our students to step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and continue developing as confident leaders.

Flying side kicks don’t start with the jump. 🥋🔥

They start by learning each step of the movement, then putting those steps together.

When kids understand the process, even advanced techniques become simple to learn. These students are throwing flying side kicks with incredible form for their belt levels because they’ve built the technique one step at a time.

🥋 Master Mike Chat — the Lightspeed Rescue Blue Ranger and World Forms & Weapons Champion — is coming to GFTC to lead our Back-to-School Leadership Open House!

⏰ ARRIVAL TIME: 8:30 AM
Please plan to arrive at 8:30 AM so everyone can get organized and ready for the event!

You don’t have to be a GFTC student to experience this event.

We are challenging our students to show leadership by inviting someone they believe could benefit from having martial arts in their life.

Leadership is recognizing when you have an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone else’s life.

Do you know why martial artists bow?

Bowing is a sign of respect. It is also a greeting, and greeting is the first step to social development.

It’s also a promise: I won’t hurt you, and you won’t hurt me. We will only use martial arts here at GFTC or for self-defense.

Whenever we bow, we say “YES, I CAN!”

This is a reminder that we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

These are some of the first lessons of leadership—learning to show respect, learning how to interact with others, keeping your word, and believing in yourself when something is challenging.

We aren’t just teaching kids how to bow.
We’re teaching them how to lead.

Klyde & Luna are only 4 and 5 years old—but look at the confidence they’re already building! 🥋💪

Here they’re practicing a functional self-defense response to someone grabbing their head. They’re competing, challenging each other, smiling, and having a great time—all while learning skills that could actually help them protect themselves.

At this age, self-defense doesn’t have to feel scary. We teach kids to stay calm, react with purpose, and build confidence through practice—while still making training FUN.

They may be little, but they’re learning some BIG skills. 🔥

These axe kicks don’t happen right away. They take focus, practice, patience, and trying again when it gets hard.

At GFTC, we teach an important lesson: big goals are possible when you take small steps and don’t quit.

Today it’s a higher kick. Tomorrow it’s a bigger goal in life.
