We still have spots remaining for a few divisions of the Konrad Reuland tournament this weekend; Women’s 4.0 Doubles, Women’s 3.5 doubles, Junior/Adult Open Doubles, and Men’s Singles.

Created in honor of Konrad Reuland, a former NFL football player and Mission Viejo resident who died of a brain aneurysm at age 29, this event aims to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Donate Life, Spirit League Special Needs Sports in Mission Viejo, and the Mission Viejo Wheelchair Tennis Program. Your entire team registration fee is 100% tax-deductible, so come play and support our benefiting charities.

• Spectators are FREE!

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each division, and prizes will be awarded to the top two winning teams in each division: 1st place (free 3-month membership*); 2nd Place (free 1-month membership*).

Check-in at the tournament desk 15 to 30 minutes before your start time.

If your division is full, please waitlist. Divisions can often be adjusted based on demand and court availability. Registration closes when the event reaches capacity. On February 6, the Unites States Tennis Association (USTA) honored a handful of outstanding coaches and individuals who contributed to the sport of tennis in 2024 in Southern California. The City of Mission Viejo and Marguerite Tennis Pavilion is proud to announce that one of our own instructors received an award! Keith Orahood and his brother Kirk Orahood were recognized for the Wheelchair/Adaptive tennis service award at this year’s banquet. Mission Viejo Program Coordinator Brian Robbins was also in attendance as a guest of Keith’s. Keith Orahood teaches the junior wheelchair clinic at Marguerite Tennis Pavilion on Saturday afternoons and Thursday evenings with participants driving more than an hour to be a part of this growing program.

Proceeds from the Konrad Reuland Tournament, dinner and auction fund this clinic as well as the Mission for Autism program. These classes are free for participants. Congratulations to Keith and his brother Kirk! 🥳🎾

You can help support some amazing causes – including LA fire victims – during a special Konrad Reuland Memorial Foundation fundraising dinner and event on March 7 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

Featuring a delicious meal by Outback Steakhouse and Prego; unique silent and live auctions; and opportunity drawings, the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, Donate Life, Spirit League Special Needs Sports in Mission Viejo, wheelchair tennis, and the Lisa Colagrossi Foundation. Proceeds will also support LA fire victims via the American Red Cross and Humane Society.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. A cash bar will be onsite and $50 tickets are on sale now. The dinner fundraiser is a precursor to the annual pickleball (March 8-9) and tennis (March 22-23) charity tournaments.
