I can't believe Duck Hunting season is around the corner. We have water when others don't thanks to our new friends the beavers and farm irrigation run off. Ducks have been spotted in the area so I have great expectations for this season. I look forward to hunting with you this season.

Hello Friends of Loch Umbra Outdoors, the Ole Hunt Master is alive and well with new tall tales and a few changes to the old ones. You know what I always say "If you can't tell something interesting, make something up". Please don't waste our time on a boring story about your last wife's mother.

We had a great group last weekend of old friends who have been hunting with us for years. This weekend will be another group of old friends. I am really looking forward to seeing them. Their competition, is who has the best scotch,cigars, and retrieving dogs. "You can't hook that up the wrong way"!

We still have a weekend available around Christmas so get your group together and come on. The Leflore county area is really fun during the holidays.

We will be booking 2 man hunts in January for the purist who like to stand in the cold water and shoot ducks. One day last season the ducks were keeping an area thawed with the body heat of about 1,000 ducks. That is an estimate, I could not count 1,000 ducks if my life depended on it. The truth is we did not have to stand in the cold water very long to get our limit of ducks. Hope to see you soon!
