Lots of fun and SWEATING timing the Black Copperhead Sting 50K race yesterday.

Hat off to everyone who toed the line yesterday in that extreme heat!

Congratulations to all the finishers! Hope you are all recovering well and hydrating!

You do not have to run for 24 hours to take part in this 24-hour race.

The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is about giving yourself the time and space to see what you can do.

Maybe the farthest you have ever run is a 5K.

Maybe you have always wondered if you could finish a 10K, half marathon, marathon, 50K, or something even farther.

Maybe you just want to see how many miles you can put together in one day.

That is what this event is for.

Run a loop. Walk a loop. Take a break. Grab something to eat. Sit down for a while.

Leave and come back out when you are ready.

Carve up your time as you will.

NAKED MOUNTAIN ULTRA 2027 IS LIVE.

Naked Mountain is calling.

On March 6, 2027, we’re heading back to Morrow Mountain State Park for another round of steep climbs, rocky trails, questionable decisions, and good times in the woods.

50 Mile. 25 Mile. 10 Mile.

How far could you go in 24 hours?

The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is coming back to Mint Hill on October 30, 2026.

You can take it on solo, use it as an opportunity to complete your first ultra, chase a new distance milestone, or put together a relay team with your friends or run club.

You do not have to run for the entire 24 hours.

You decide what the challenge looks like for you. Run, walk, take breaks, return to the course, and keep building your total one 1.35-mile loop at a time.

Maybe your goal is a 50K. Maybe it is 50 miles, 100 miles, or simply more distance than you have ever covered before.

The clock will be running. How you use it is up to you.
