I have always wanted to make a trip and explore the Boundary Waters. The thought of disconnecting and doing some fishing, camping and filming in a completely different landscape just gets me excited. In the future I think this would be a great adventure to bring the boys on, but this trip is just me and momma. How lucky am I that the BWCA will be the second most beautiful thing there.

A couple of years ago I walked in to with a mission: to find a turkey gun that was small and lightweight but also packed enough punch to reliably get the job done. After talking with Taylor in the guns section we decided on the Stevens 301 in .410 partnered with Fiocchi Golden Turkey TSS shells. This gun has been a hammer. Last spring I shot my bird at over 40 yards and this spring all three of us made short work of our turkeys. This isn’t an ad and Ol’ Aaron doesn’t get anything for promoting this gun or ammo. I just have a lot of confidence in the setup and think is an absolute blast to hunt with.

Turkey season was good to us this year. Life gets crazy and we certainly aren’t getting any less busy, but a few days in the woods has a way of slowing you down and reminding you to enjoy the moment. I guess it’s time to get the fishing rods ready!

I’ve taken quite a bit of time off of NPLife social media and I’ve had a few people ask why. This… for the last year social media companies seem to be scrubbing posts with AI and they have been hammering us. It seems like every post is flagged and “removed from recommendation”. It is hard to be excited to create when you know your content is going to be hidden.
