We’re getting ready to cheer on Talan as he competes in his final Junior Gold National Championships before heading off to college this year.

It’s hard to believe this is the last time we’ll watch him take on this stage, and we couldn’t be more proud to have such a talented young bowler representing the Lakeland Area.

Qualifying begins tomorrow, and over the next four days he’ll battle it out against more than 1,000 U18 boys from across the country for a chance to chase a national title.

Talan, we’ll be cheering for you every step of the way from home. This journey has meant so much, and we know how much heart, dedication, and hard work you’ve poured into getting here.

Bowl your game, trust yourself, and soak in every moment of this incredible experience. No matter the outcome, you’ve already made your community so proud.

The entire Lakeland bowling community is behind you, and we’ll be with you in spirit every frame of the way.

YOUTH BOWLERS - HERE IS THE FRANCHISE/DRAFT INFO to try to be a part of the Wisconsin Elite Bowling League - The Next Generation that will be taping in late July & early August.

Looking to have your youth bowler be a part of the Wisconsin Elite Bowling League - The Next Generation TV series?

There's two ways they can try to make this happen:

FIRST - Be part of a franchise team.

As of today (6/7/26), there are three franchises that are already owned by sponsors - those franchises will be selecting their own bowlers.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE YOUR YOUTH BOWLER AND THEIR FRIENDS ARE ON THE SAME TEAM, since the franchises control their rosters - there is still one franchise available for purchase; it's a great way to have your sponsoring bowling center/pro shop/local business receive some great TV exposure over six weeks on My 24 Milwaukee, beginning August 15 (perfect time to advertise league openings or start-of-the-bowling-season specials.

If you are interested in purchasing the final franchise, contact the BCBS or Phil Brylow on FB messenger for the details.

SECOND, and probably the most important info for most youth bowlers - Submit your youth bowler for the WEBL-TNG Draft.

The Brew City Bowling Show franchise and one other franchise will be filling their rosters through a draft process. Youth bowlers will be able to apply for the draft, by sending in their "bowling resume" to the BCBS.

The "bowling resume" should include, at a minimum:

Name - Age (as there will be U15/U16 bowlers on each roster) - Average - Phone & Email contacts - Notable tournament achievements - and answer "Why I should be on a WEBL-TNG team".

YOUTH BOWLERS MUST APPLY FOR THE DRAFT BY 11:59 P.M. ON SUNDAY JUNE 21 to be eligible - the draft will take place on June 23, so team jerseys can be ordered for the TV shows.

Submit those resumes through FB Messenger to BCBS or Phil; or you can email those resumes to [email protected].
