This is the Official Facebook for The Queen City Squirrels. Our team came together in 2009 when we first went to the U.S. The tournament takes place on Lake Nokomis. After our first taste of the pond that year we decided to participate in the Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament in Buffalo in 2011 for the first time and have competed every year since. We also competed in the 2014, 2017, 2019 (Made o

ur first playoff appearance) and are returning in 2022!!!! Over the years we have met life long friends and have made some of the greatest memories during these tournaments. We are so excited to head back to Lake Nokomis to compete in the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships!

Cannot believe it’s been over a week already since we were in Minneapolis for the 20th Anniversary of the Championships. This was hands down one of the best trips we’ve had in Minnesota over the years. We brought two new members this year, got to see our friends we’ve made over the years and as always made new friendships. Salud! 🍻 & more pics to come!

In just about 1 day we head west to Minneapolis, MN for the 20th Anniversary of the Championships. This will be our 7th trip since 2009. We hope to see everyone down at the rinks starting Thursday this year. Huge shoutout to for the image.

With 82 days until we we take flight (hopefully this time) to Minneapolis, MN for the 20th Anniversary of the Championships it’s only right to introduce our two newest members joining us on Lake Nokomis this year. We are honored to welcome and We cannot wait for them to experience the best pond hockey tournament in the world!

That’s right!!! March 22-24 We are bringing a 3v3 pond hockey style tournament back to the WNY area in Batavia, NY at the David McCarthy Memorial Ice Arena. Feel free to reach out to the Rink or ourselves for more information. Youth divisions will be based on 10U, 14U, and 18U. Adults will have a 30+ yr old novice,
30+ yr old intermediate, and 18 and over Advanced divisions.
