The 2026 Fall & Winter Adventures with AiC are now up for registration!

In November we'll host insane nerf battles with the walking dead in an indoor apocalyptic cityscape made entirely of cardboard!

In September and early October we present two classic outdoor AiC trail games - a Saturday battle between Elves and Dwarves in the time of Caer Sidi, and a weekend replay of the Arkan Civil War in full Arthurian style, complete with a sword in the stone.

Two Armory Weekends also come up over Thanksgiving Weekend and the following Saturday and Sunday.

And last, but certainly not least, the annual Yule Hunt Beastly Holiday Mini-Camp will open for registration on September 15th. This year it'll be happening on the Solstice and the day before!

Adventures in Cardboard is getting ready to run events at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival beginning this Saturday at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm and 5pm!

Some of our favorite counselors will be in full garb running ridiculous duels, skirmishes and monster boss battles in our pretty little combat circle.

If you have been a cardboard camper you are welcome to bring your cardboard arms and armor. Otherwise we'll have a collection of new gear to choose from!

From Shoreview to Hastings, "Spring Adventures '26" are now open with Adventures in Cardboard. Choose to participate in Weekend Armory Workshops, several Game Days, an Indoor Nerf Battle Day or the famed Game of Towns, where bandits, villages and lordships with overlapping and conflicting goals compete asymmetrically in a game that lasts an entire weekend!

Registration opens today at 10am! Snail Lake Regional Park and Tony Schmidt Regional Park are both available almost all weeks of summer. Snail Lake is so awesome we had to have a staff battle royale to determine who would set up the Realm at Snail Lake this year! adventuresincardboard.com

The Wild One on the Winter Sosltice.

The head was made by our late friend Daniel, body finished in the spirit of the head by Julian. The Wild One was played by Teddy, Akin and Ash at Baker Park OLC for the 2026 Yule Hunt, a 'Beastly Winter Holiday Mini Camp.'

In the Yule Hunt campers play villagers caught in a pact between the Wild One and their benefactor the Shadow Queen of Fall. On the longest night of the year and armed with the gifts from the Shadow Queen, in exchange for playing a hunting game with the Wild One in his most fearsome aspect - the Beast - the villagers may remain in the blessed valley for another year.

Though villagers make a pact with the Wild One, they must also make a pact with all 'Beings Before Speech 'who take the smallest child in a sack as collateral for villagers showing up to play a fearsome game without weapons.

Here is the leader of the Law of Tooth and Claw (AKA Krampus) returning the child unharmed. A changeling took his place for the actual game!
