Today I had the pleasure of taking a Functional Movement workshop with Moira STOTT—the founder of STOTT Pilates. It was inspiring and reconfirmed my belief in the STOTT method as they continue to evolve the work based on the newest understandings of healthy movement. I love teaching movement!!

One of the best ways to undo a tight back from shoveling is hip flexor stretches and gentle spinal extension. A kneeling lunge releases the hip flexors. Lying on the belly and propping up on the forearms staying strong between the shoulder blades provides gentle extension.
