We cater to women of all ages who want to learn swimming in a private women-only classroom environment, in adherence with their personal beliefs and choice. In the past years women-only swimming events have become more common through the efforts of Mosques and other active organizations. It is our goal to build on these opportunities by providing swimming lessons! Enshallah we hope young girls and
adults alike learn how to swim, and are able to better take advantage of future open-swim events. You can use swimming as part of your exercise routine, and be well positioned to teach your kids how to swim too! Maybe you could teach a thing or two on how to swim to your (future) husband as well! Instructor
Atefeh grew up in Iran, where women-only swimming facilities were readily available. Beginning swimming at age 6, she quickly completed basic swimming lessons and moved onto competitive swimming at a young age. She has trained under experienced swimming coaches and participated in multiple regional and national swimming events. Atefeh completed her lifeguard training in Iran, and more recently, completed her Kinesiology degree (the science of human movement) from the University of Minnesota and is now finishing her degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy at UMN. Since moving to the US, she has remained an active swimmer where women-only facilities were available. Now she wants to share the sport she loves with other Muslim girls, by providing them with the training and lessons they need to make swimming enjoyable!
