What we learned at the Xbox Press Conference!
Halo Infinite is the newest installment in the Halo franchise, we don’t have a release date yet, but we do know it is being built from the ground up using the Slipspace Engine. There were a bunch of Xbox exclusives announced. As always, they included the games that are going to be available on windows and console launch exclusives in this category. These games include Ori and the Will of the Wisp, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves DLC (Forsaken Shores & Cursed Sails), Forza Horizon 4, New PUBG maps, Session, Black Desert, Cuphead, Tunic, Battletoads 2019, and Gears 5. We learned Forza Horizon 4 takes place in Britain and will run 60 FPS on the Xbox One X. It will also have a 100% synced world with the entire community where all 4 seasons will be present and ever changing in tandem with all users. Forza Horizon 4 drops on October 2, 2018. PUBG has been a hit since its release and we got confirmation that the Sanhok map will drop in summer of 2018, as well as the long-awaited Winter map which was teased to release this Winter. Session is a skateboard game, that looks to take on the role of what most people wanted in a Skate 4 game, this game will be a console launch exclusive. Black Desert a MMORPG will also be coming to Xbox One as a console launch exclusive. We are also getting more Cuphead, with new playable characters and more levels and bosses, it is not yet said to be a brand-new game, so it could just be DLC. Also, the main event, Gears 5 drops in 2019 and will follow Kait’s story, we are unsure what kind of twists will come up but we do get to see fan favorite characters Marcus Fenix and Jack.
We also got to see some awesome gameplay of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, which is a dark souls combat style game based around the samurai era of history. Not much was talked about, but we will find out more in the days to come here at E3.
