Minnesota Sentinels Hockey For Military Veterans, Service Members, and First Responders who love hockey and are seeking an inclusive and friendly hockey family. "Keep The Watch"

MISSION - To provide a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for Military Veterans, Active-Duty personnel, and all First Responders through the game of hockey. Minnesota Sentinels Hockey is dedicated to serving military veterans, active-duty members, National Guard, Reservists, and all First Responders. Our mission is centered on fostering camaraderie, promoting team building, and cultivating

a sense of belonging to a community greater than oneself. Join us and become a part of a military-based hockey team in the State of Hockey. We extend our invitation to all service members and veterans who have honorably served or are currently serving, including our disabled veterans. There is no requirement for prior hockey experience; all that's needed is a passion for the game and a willingness to join a special group of individuals. Our aim is to provide a safe space for physical activity and to facilitate meaningful connections among peers.

Well, well, well… Sentinel 4 had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the outstanding crew at Lunch Bucket Hockey today, and all I can say is this: I walked into that meeting with high expectations and somehow still left completely blown away.

Great people, great ideas, and a shared passion for building something special within the hockey community. There are some exciting things on the horizon, and if today was any indication, the future is looking exceptionally bright.
Keep your eyes on the horizon, folks. Big things are brewing.

Stay tuned. Keep The Watch….

Today, the Minnesota Sentinels would like to wish the United States Army a very happy 251st Birthday!

For 251 years, Soldiers have answered the call to serve our nation with courage, dedication, and selfless service. From the earliest days of our country's founding to today's missions around the globe, the men and women of the Army have stood ready to defend freedom and protect the values we hold dear.

We are proud to have Army Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers, National Guard members, and Reservists among our ranks. Your service, sacrifice, and commitment continue to inspire everything we do both on and off the ice.

Thank you to all who have worn the uniform, are currently serving, and to the families who support them every step of the way.

Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Army!

This We'll Defend.

SENTINEL 4 TRANSMISSION // PRIORITY MESSAGE TO THE BEAUTIES

Do you support military members and first responders in Minnesota?

Do you enjoy looking absolutely dialed in at the rink, BBQ, fireworks show, gas station, or anywhere freedom is celebrated?
Outstanding.

The Minnesota Sentinels have linked up with the legends over at Horrible Hockey Co. to bring you a special collaboration shirt celebrating:

Hockey
America
Those who serve

And here’s the kicker…
50% of every purchase comes directly back to support the Minnesota Sentinels, helping keep our Veterans, military members, and First Responders on the ice and part of something bigger than themselves.

Rusty “Chainsaw” McGritty has already called it:
“That’s a certified beauty move right there.”

This is, without a doubt, one of the best pictures taken all weekend.

Not because of a scoreboard.

Not because of a goal.

Not because of a win.

But because it captures exactly what the Hero Invitational is all about.

Friendships. Brotherhood. Sisterhood. Laughter. Support. Connection.

A reminder that while we all show up carrying different burdens, wearing different jerseys, and representing different teams, we're all part of something much bigger than the game itself.

The Hero Invitational has never just been about hockey. It's about the people. The conversations in the hallways. The laughs in the locker rooms. The stories shared between games. The old friends we reconnect with and the new friendships we make along the way.

For a weekend, we're reminded that the hockey community is a pretty special place.

This photo captures that perfectly.

And for that reason, it'll always be one of our favorites.

Well folks... the Hero Invitational has come and gone for the Minnesota Sentinels.

Did it go our way?

Absolutely not.

Not even remotely.

But you know what? We had an absolute blast anyway!
There were unforgettable laughs, friendships renewed, new faces welcomed into the chaos, shots taken directly to the face (good news: all teeth remain accounted for), spectacular falls, questionable hockey decisions, and an alarming amount of pickles consumed.

At the end of the day, we got two games of hockey, time with some incredible people, and memories that will last far longer than the bruises.

Now for our tournament honors!
Friday Night Big Dill Award goes to Nick "Village People" Hathaway, who once again brought the energy, the effort, and probably a few dance moves.

Saturday's Big Dill honors belong to the legendary Kato Crew:
Ms. Daddy
The Right Angle
Mr. Posty

These three are the definition of ride-or-die teammates. Doesn't matter who we're playing, where we're playing, or what time the puck drops—they show up, show out, and leave absolutely everything they have on the ice.

With the Hero Invitational now in the books, the Sentinels officially enter our offseason. This means team skates, team building, and intensive scientific research into two critical questions:
1. How do we score more goals?
2. How do we stop the other team from scoring more goals than us?

The answers remain elusive.
But have no fear...
WE WILL RETURN.

This fall we'll host our 4th Annual Honor & Remember 9/11 Game, and in November we'll once again head into battle looking to bring the Axe back where it belongs—Minnesota! Veterans Border Battle – Battle for the AXE V!

Until then, thank you to everyone who skated with us, cheered for us, supported us, and embraced the chaos.
See you at the rink.
