In case you were not aware there was a fire in Minersville on Wednesday. The Washington Hotel owner, Brandon Kopinetz, is holding a chicken BBQ on Sunday to donate all proceeds to the victims. If any athletes can help volunteer with packaging, carrying to cars, set up or cleanup, please reach out to the Washington page with your availability. Thank you in advance.

The Minersville Lions Club has been planning a BBQ Chicken fundraiser to help defer costs of our annual fireworks display at Minersville Little League.

However, we decided to divert these funds raised to help the families whose households burned on North Street earlier in the week.

I hope to never experience such a loss and we are eager to help. It may not turn out to be much, but I bet anything will be appreciated in such dificult times.

A $14 donation gets you a chicken quarter, baked potato and slaw. Tickets are not required. You may reserve dinners by messaging the Minersville Area Lions Club

Pickup 11am-3pm at 2 Sunbury Street (across from borough hall). The Lions and local PD ask that you come down Delware Ave by the police station to pickup.

On behalf of the Lions Club, Washington Hotel and Mr Yum Yum food truck, thank you for your support!
