Our baseball season ended tonight with a 4 to 2 loss to Mccook in a very hard fought game. This senior team had an awesome year, finishing with a record of 17 wins and eight losses on the season. These boys battled so hard all year long and put themselves in position to make another run at state, but it just didn’t happen. 

Thank you to all of those that came out and supported us all season long. Thank you to our legion board for always supporting our program. Huge thank you to my wife who was at the field working almost as much as I was getting things ready for games. A thank you to the Minden Courier and to Bella Reed for their coverage of our team all season long. A big thank you to my assistant coaches and all the players families for all their hard work and dedication during the season, working in so many areas helping out especially during our juniors area tournament. But most importantly, thank you to the players for their passion and the desire and the love of Baseball. It was an honor to Coach you once again this summer. I enjoyed every moment being on the baseball field and battling through the summer with all of you. Thank you so much to our seniors and returning college players that will be gone next year. It was so fun coaching you over the last four or five years watching you grow and not only become better baseball players but better people through this process. Thank you so much to Beau Bonifas, Luke Grollmes, Keaton Heikkinen, and Jake Halvorsen for everything that you have done for this program. These players have meant so much to our program and have left behind a great legacy in Minden Legion baseball. They will be missed. Already looking forward to next year. As always, never out of the fight and go Minden.

Minden seniors beat Cozad 8-1 today and advance to the next round. We will play Mccook no matter what and game time is now set for 5 pm. Let’s go!

Tough but well played game tonight, just wasn’t our day. That’s baseball. Game time tomorrow got moved up due to heat index. We will play Cozad at noon in Holdrege.

Minden won round 1 of senior area tourney 12-1. We play winner of Aurora and Holdrege tomorrow at 5 pm. Great job today by our boys!

We play @ 2 pm in the B-6 area tourney against Overton at the Holdrege legion field which is right by the Phelps County fairgrounds. Come on out and support the boys.
