Final ASA Pro Am of the season, the Classic in Cullman. Started the weekend with being all in my head but kept the focus of “shoot your bow and have fun”

Day #1 shot up 14 with half of my score being 12’s, the 8’s I shot were just barely out of the 12 ring. So I took day one as a great day, good shots and a good score sitting in 3rd.

Day #2 little tired cause the heat was a lot but mentally I had a clear head and just kept my same focus and goal. Shot 20 up, which then landed me in 1st place. Shooting 34 up for the weekend was a personal best at an ASA pro am!

Also finished the tour with 2nd place for shooter of the year! So it was definitely a great weekend!

That’s a wrap… for ASA State at least! 4 1/2 hours, 3 ranges, 30 targets, and shooting a score less than my capability. But I did it!! Alabama ASA Federation Shooter Of The Year for Women’s Pins 30 🏹

When you’re too close for comfort on shooter of the year you drive 3 hours for another qualifier. Dekalb had a great range today, but it sure was hot even with an 8:00 start. Shot really good, was little disappointed in the 8’s but tried to make up for them after the fact. Bow is shooting really good and excited for the ASA State Championship and Cullman coming up!

📍Metropolis, IL. boy I thought this was gonna take me OUT today. Went through a weather delay after 6 targets. Came back to shoot in the down pouring rain. Bow was wet, range finder quit, couldn’t see a thing on the targets and worst of all water filled boots with wet feet!! Last target, shot a 5 thought I was out of it. Finished day two down one and still held my spot in 2nd! As long as this weekend was and all the challenges that came with it, there was a lot learned. Would I do it again, YEP but not until next year 😂

Didn’t stay for awards because I was literally soaked and freezing with a 6 1/2 hour drive ahead of me.

Hoping the thunderstorms hold off for us today so we can shoot round 2! Yesterday was rough, lots of rain, weather delay and then going back to the range at 5:30 gave us some dark lanes. Ready to see what today holds!
