Capoeira Milwaukee is a group in the Milwaukee area that practices traditional Capoeira Angola. Through this group, we aim to explore the rich and beautiful aspects of the art. Capoeira, a powerful expression of the African diaspora in Brazil, is a global phenomenon. ay, we celebrate Capoeira worldwide as an Afro-Brazilian art, sport, and cultural heritage that offers numerous benefits to people of all ages. Our Capoeira class, led by Professor Steve (Associação de Capoeira Angola Corpo e Movimento – Mestre Angola), offers a unique introduction to the traditional style known as Capoeira Angola. Capoeira Angola combines martial arts, dance, acrobatics, and music and is played like a game. We aim to share Capoeira's fundamental movements, music, and philosophy and improve our overall health, all while experiencing the joy of playing Capoeira.
