The Havana Wolfpack indoor flag football team was officially formed in fall 2011 when team managers Aaron Bielawski and Jason Waters merged their respective B League teams (Brewski's and New Jack City) together and took their talents to the A Level AFC Division of the Milwaukee Arena Flag Football League. They had an inaugural first season of ups and downs, finishing the regular season 4-3 while c
apturing a #4 seed in the playoffs, handily beating Dem Niners in their first round matchup to avenge a heartbreaking 31-30 regular season defeat which ended on a missed extra point to send the game into overtime. In their 2nd round semi final game against the Milwaukee Hittmen, a rematch with the #1 seed that had suffured their only regular season defeat to the Wolfpack 27-13 in week 3, the Wolfpack's season ended on a goaline interception as the team prepared to come back from a halftime deficit and tie the game 25-25 with under 2 minutes to play in regulation, likely battling it out in overtime for the opportunity to play against the eventual league champion Headhunters. A first year championship appearance was not in the storyline, but as the team prepares for it's second season together this spring, it returns the majority of its roster including acrobatic WR James Rouse, motor mouthing but athleticly gifted O-Lineman Seth Cocroft, their dominating defensive front 2 in Jay Waters and Prince Eady, and shut down CB Deron Coleman. *Oh, and destructively pale skinned Irishman LB/CB Tom Casey. Additionally, the organization is looking forward to the return of RB/WR/CB Demi Omole who was lost most all of last season to a knee injury, late season addition RB/WR Cedric McFadden (9th cousin to Darren of the Oakland Raiders) and are currently said to be in negotiations with two coveted free agents. Tristan is expected return to the team in fall 2012.
