Look who turned 2! Been with us since the green mat days, this animal always finds a way to stay on the mats, climbing the ranks, repping the art and helping guide the crew on their journeys. Congrats to Adam Messing on his 2nd degree black belt tonight after a hell of a class. Here’s to the milestone, and the journey to “Professor”. Forward, over.

Another Surf Rock Friday victory today watching Char move on to her well-earned purple belt! She ripped through the celebration, weathered with grace, ankle picking the whole way through. Make sure you give this young lady a high five congrats when you see her! Here’s to the journey, over.

Awesome day at NG West Bend! Watching the newest NG black belt tie his belt on for the first time. Some great instruction immediately put into our arsenal, thoughtful words on reasons, seasons, and lifetimes. Had a blast rolling with these savages and the rest of the team. Also first NG black belt siblings! And now 3 black belts leading the way for West Bend. Congrats to Joel on the big milestone and new beginning. Also congrats to Tim on his overdue first degree, and to Joe on his second. Forward, over.

As the founder of the Neutral Ground Family, I’m proud to finally get my first book out and into the open. Looking forward to the feedback and support, and hoping I nailed it perfectly for us. Feels vulnerable but that’s part of the journey, on and off the mats.
